After the tornado ripped through town, over half of the ten thousand residents were out of power for over a week. The timing couldn’t have been worse. It was an odd winter tornado that hit the afternoon before a severe cold front passed through and temperatures dropped below zero. Both my wife’s office and the place I work still had power, so we still had to work even though we had no heat or hot water.
