It had been a real up-and-down few months for Katie, who was twenty-one. Her grandma had come to live with her and her mum three months ago, whilst work was being done to her house. Prior to that, her mum, Jane who was forty-four, had not been the best of mums because she was very forgetful, normally thought about herself first, and quite often left Katie high and dry. Whilst her grandma, Sheila, who was sixty-six, was living with them, things definitely improved for Katie.
