Second Chances – Part Last
Early the next morning, Ben was already getting ready for another long drive. He snatched his cell phone up and without looking, turned the volume up in an autonomous motion. He prepped his log book and fired up the rig checking the oil pressure gauge for a few moments. He would just reach Tuscaloosa, Alabama by nightfall. Satisfied at the oil pressure reading, he climbed down from his cab retrieving his high pressure tire gauge and made his round about the truck making sure the tire pressures were good and the mud flaps were still attached. He noticed one “chicken” light wasn’t lit and made a mental note to have it fixed.
