Ellen walked into the house, coated with the ran that was pouring from the sky. She had been called several minutes before by her best friend Jessica, who felt terrible. Jessica had a date later that day, with her boyfriend Ray. Ray was into athletics at her High School, and he was near the top of the popularity ladder. He was also near model status. Jessica, in her bed with a fever, rolls over, then falls onto the floor. The crash wakes Ellen, who runs into her room.
