Rain Soaked Soccer Girls
Sometimes I wonder how I get myself into these types of situations. My neighbor is a single mom who has a daughter named Kellie. The weekend weather indicated non-stop rain, but Kellie’s school soccer team still played the final match of the year that afternoon. Unfortunately, June (my neighbor) got called in to work . . . an unexpected shift as a security guard and while I was reading my morning paper I received the call. “Mike, I need your help. I took Kellie to her soccer game, but they just called me to work this today. Could you pick her up . . . and probably her friend Hanna as well and look out after them this afternoon?
