When Mary Jo and I relocated to Oceanside, after my honorable discharge, we moved into an apartment with our twin sons. MJ and the girl directly across the courtyard quickly became friends. Judy was married to a Marine who was deployed at the time, so she helped MJ with the kids while I worked or surfed. I worked swing shift so Judy’s help was really nice because I slept odd hours.
