Oahu isn’t my favorite island, but once Rosie had told me that her grandfather’s brother had perished on the USS Arizona I knew we’d spend several days there. The Arizona Memorial is extremely well attended so we left the hotel at 7:30 a.m. for the naval base at Pearl Harbor. The line for tickets wasn’t long, but we still had a two-hour wait before we could board the tender to the Memorial.
