I stepped out into the hallway, just trying not to get bumped into the lockers as I swam upstream against the flow. It didn’t help matters any that I was so short, and couldn’t see what was coming ahead of me until it was already right in my face; for crying out loud, at just under five feet tall, even most of the freshmen were taller than me!
