Prof Davis Checks In
I’m a history professor at a small junior college on the Gulf Coast of Texas. I’ve been roped into helping with the cheer team. This time, I got stuck chaperoning the team on the bus to an away game. We arrived in the small town and found the hotel where we would stay. We unloaded all of our bags from the bus onto the hotel sidewalk. Since I was “in charge” for the moment, I had to check everyone in. I was delayed outside for a few minutes making sure that all of the team gear had survived the trip.
