Pool Side Quarantine
The blistering LA sun beat down on me as I tried my best to enjoy my run. Yet, with every step, my frustration grew, a reminder of how much I had lost due to the sudden emergence of the coronavirus. I was twenty-two and had been living the best year of my life. I killed it during indoor track season and was gearing up for NCAA outdoor track in the spring. To celebrate, my friends and I were going to let loose in Cancun, but the sudden emergence of Covid-19 put all that on hold. Running had become my escape from the constant news alerts about how to stay safe from the virus.
